Dr. Victor Lee assumed his current post as Executive Director of The Hong Kong Management Association in January 2012. From 1999 to 2011, he was the Director of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. From 1991 to 1999, he was an Associate Professor and the Founding Head of Applied Computing and Founding MBA Program Director at The Open University of Hong Kong. He also worked for Bank of America from 1989 to 1991.
Before returning to Hong Kong in early 90s, Victor had teaching and research experience with overseas institutions including State University of New York; The American University of Paris; and the University of Macau. Victor has been a visiting professor at Tianjin University of Commerce since 1998. Currently he is a Fellow of Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce in UK, a Fellow of Wu Yee Sun College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and an Honorary Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing.
Victor holds a PhD degree in Management from the University of London and a Master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge. He was a Fulbright Scholar at Columbia University in New York City in 2007. He also participated in executive development courses at Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Graduate School of Education. His academic publications appear in the Asia Pacific Business Review, International Journal of Information Technology, Journal of Educational Planning and Administration, The Journal of Open and Distance Learning, and Academic Exchange Quarterly. His current interest is about management education for sustainability.
