The 2nd AAMO meeting and 4th AGM was held in Manila, the Philippines in the period 7-9th October 2015. Mr Bryan Nye OAM FAIM, President of AAMO, warmly welcomed delegates from Australia, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Macau, India and that of the host country, the Philippines.

Key agenda items included identifying mechanisms for greater collaboration within the AAMO organisation between member countries and plansto develop a greater online and social media presence.

The current President of the Management Association of Nepal, Mr Sushil Bhatta, also used the opportunity to thank all delegates for their generous donations that were provided to assist in distributing aid to earthquake affected areas within Nepal. This update on where aid had been distributed was warmly received.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for delegates to further develop relationships between their respective organisations and to engage more fully with staff of the Management of the Philippines.

Capping off this exciting three day program, delegates were given a guided tour of Globe Telecom headquarters;one of Philippines largest telecommunications networks employing over six thousand people. The company executives provided an invaluable insight into the management issues they were facing as they explored opportunities in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and burgeoning skilled labour force.

This was followed by a tour of the historical Intramuros and Fort Santiago, and finishing with a traditional lunch hosted by Management Association of Philippines President, Mr Melito Salazar.
